What Is Forward Head Posture?

Forward head posture (FHP) is a natural position where your head is positioned with your ears in front of your body’s vertical midline. In natural or neutral head posture, your ears line up with your shoulders and midline.

When your chest’s pecs or muscles become shortened or tight, they naturally pull your arms forward. This shortening of muscle length occurs every time you move forward and is a normal movement.
